The theme scripture verse, which is also the meaning of Awana can be found on 2 Timonthy 2:15:
15Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
The Goal of Awana at RGAC is to serve of the boys and girls of the lower-mainland. How so? Each week, the Awana program is full of action-packed team-games. Moreover, there's a story-time of a special message. Finally, there is a small group council time, when each child gets attention from a mentor or councillor.
Kids love the games time, because ...well...its fun! Good team spirit, punctuality, passing of tests, memorization of verses, and an healthy attitude are all awarded by a point-system. Kids are thrilled by winning. They are also awarded positively with compliments from peers and leaders, with great gifts from our Awana store (operated by our own team of pre-teens who used to be Awana kids too!).

No Awana on the 8th of Feb, 2nd day of Chinese New Year
There will be no Awana on the 8th of February in lure of Chinese New Year Celebrations and family gatherings.
Awana nights at RGAC will resume on the 15th.
Happy Chinese New Year. May God's blessings be with you.
Awana is a Christian children program for kids from pre-school to grade 6. Kids have great fun playing games, meeting new friends, and learning about the Bible.
13People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
Mark 10:13-15
